ABOUT US

GRI 102-1, 102-7

WITH OUR WORK WE GIVE LIFE TO THE SOIL SO THAT IT CAN GENERATE MORE AND BETTER FOOD FOR ARGENTINA AND THE WORLD. WITH THE APPLICATION OF STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY IN ALL THE LINKS OF THE CHAIN, WE PRODUCE AND COMMERCIALIZE FERTILIZERS THAT SUSTAINABLY NOURISH THE CROPS IN OUR FIELDS.

We are Profertil, an agro-industrial company specialized in the production and commercialization of fertilizers for agriculture, mainly Granulated Urea, the fertilizer that provides the nitrogen that crops need for their growth. We also market other nutrients and other special blends to optimize crop yields in a sustainable manner. We supply, in particular, the local market and contribute $36,781,330 to the country’s trade balance, substituting imports and generating exportable balances.

MARKETS SUPPLIED

WE HAVE A WIDE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK IN THE DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE COUNTRY FOR THE COMMERCIALIZATION OF OUR PRODUCTS.

Agricultural producers are the end-users of our products. Territory managers and agronomic technicians, distributed in the different areas, enable us to be in permanent contact with them and to disseminate the responsible use of fertilizers throughout the country.

We understand that products must be applied with the best management practices, taking into account the correct source to be used and the right dosage, based on diagnostic tools and applied at the right time and in the right way. Accompanying the technical advisors of the agricultural companies, we promote the application of Good Agricultural Practices, through the Four Requirements of Responsible Nutrient Management (4R), in which the producers can count on the technical advice and the necessary services to take care of the health of the soil and the sustainable development of their production.

OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Material topics: Sustainable agriculture

WE PRODUCE AND COMMERCIALIZE THE NUTRIENTS NEEDED TO OPTIMIZE CROP YIELDS IN A SUSTAINABLE MANNER.

We produce and commercialize soil nutrients. Our plant generates 1,320,000 tons per year of granulated urea and 790,000 tons per year of ammonia. Other fertilizers are also sold and special blends are prepared so the soil receives what it needs to optimize its yield in a sustainable manner. We have different types of products, classified, according to their final destination, as follows:

AGRO DIVISION
• 14 products for the care and nutrition of crops and for the health care of our soils.
• Main recipients: Agricultural Producers, Leasing Producers, and Contractors.

We offer high quality products and we disseminate the Best Management Practices for crop nutrition (BMP). Likewise, we train the technical advisors of our distribution network, so that they can transmit the appropriate agronomic knowledge to each environment, taking care of the soil and the sustainability of the productive systems in the different regions of the country.

We understand the impact of the use of our products so each one of them has its respective Safety Data Sheet (SDS), with the identification of the main measures for its safe, efficient and responsible use, as well as components and other relevant information. The information contained in these sheets is based on existing documentation and studies, and in accordance with efficient and reliable industry practices.

GRANULATED UREA
Main fertilizer used in agriculture. Allows the supply of nitrogen needed to increase productivity of crops such as wheat and maize.

PROTERRA
Physical, solid and liquid mixtures that allow to provide, in an adequate balance, the necessary nutrients for each crop. Physical, solid and liquid mixtures that allow to contribute, in a suitable balance, the necessary nutrients for each culture.

PROTERRA S
Balanced physical blend of phosphorus and sulfur, of gradual release. This allows the crop to have the necessary sulfur at the time it most needs it. With the application of a high dose of Proterra S in pre-sowing, the nutrition of the immediate crop and the whole sequence is achieved (for example: wheat and soybean), since these nutrients are not lost by washing and remain available for the plants.

ENETOTAL PLUS
Nitrogen fertilizer with the highest concentration of stabilized Nitrogen (N) on the market, formulated to ensure greater efficiency of N (EUN) to protect the environment, since, by reducing N loss by volatilization, one of the indirect emissions of nitrous oxide (one of the greenhouse gases) is avoided.

OTHER FERTILIZERS
Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP); Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), Triple Super Phosphate (SPT), Single Super Phosphate (SPS), Ammonium Sulfate (SA), Calcium Sulfate (SCa), Potassium and Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride (ClK), Boron (B), Zinc (Zn) and UAN and liquid mixtures with Ammonium Thiosulfate.

INDUSTRIAL DIVISION
• 3 chemical products
• Main recipients: Some industries as part of their production processes and the automotive industry.

AMMONIA
We generate Ammonia as part of the process of producing Granulated Urea, that is, as an intermediate product. It is used as a coolant for the baking industry, in the production of cosmetics and hair dyes, and in the manufacture of disinfectants and kitchen cleaners.

PROAIRE
Additive produced on the basis of Urea, for diesel engines, aimed at reducing the emission of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). It is applied in a special tank of heavy vehicles, separated from the fuel. Also, SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, through a chemical reaction, allows the conversion of Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) into gases and substances that are harmless to the environment. This meets the requirements of the European Union’s Euro V standard, which regulates the permitted limits of GHG emissions. We supply the local market and export to neighboring countries.

UREA FOR CATTLE
The supply of granulated urea as an additive is intended to generate microbial protein. Microbial protein synthesis in the rumen requires the timely availability of adequate N and carbohydrate sources for rapid bacterial growth. The consequence of an asynchronism in the digestion of N and energy sources is an increased absorption of rumen ammonia into the bloodstream and conversion to urea in the liver. From the liver, part of the Urea passes through the kidney and is excreted in the urine, and the other part returns to the rumen through the saliva. Recommendations for use: an excess in the daily dose can produce ammonia toxicity; given the variability of diets and nutritional approaches, we recommend adjusting the use to the technical indications of the veterinary advisor or agronomic engineer.

SERVICES

Customized blends: We make physical mixtures to order according to the needs of each customer.

The correct mixing process must ensure the exact dosage of each component, in order to obtain an even granule size, which avoids segregation of the different components and facilitates field application.

Bulk dispatches: This is the prevailing trend in the fertilizer market due to its advantages:
• Greater agility in the dispatches.
• Lower cost of fertilizer supply.
• Lower operative cost.
• Manual loading and unloading of the truck avoided.
• The use of bags, their discarding and/or reuse is avoided.

Bagging: For customers who require it, we offer the possibility of delivering the products in 50 or 25 kg bags and 1-ton bags.
We have a cargo batch allocation system that allows us to speed up dispatch operations, thus providing a fast, efficient service without long waits.
